What can we expect in 2015?

NewYearFireworksAs 2014 ends, I have mixed emotions about the past year moving on. Every year has highs and lows and we never know what the New Year has in store for us. However, 2015 promises to bring exciting new models to the market and we all hope that gas prices stay low! From a personal perspective, I am excited to promote loyal and high-performing team members to new roles in the business while saying farewell to a long-term team member. Our General Manager, Jon Russo, will be missed and I wish him and his family all the best as they relocate to the south.

The big news in the industry and from Volvo is the release of the exciting new Volvo XC90 with its new design, advanced safety and comfort for seven people. Stay tuned as this vehicle is getting all kinds of attention and we can’t get wait to get them in!

The national trends in vehicles in the coming year will be more consumer-focused than ever. Compact SUVs and crossovers like the Toyota RAV4 and smaller trucks will be in big demand this year, and luxury hybrids like the Toyota Camry and Avalon will be more popular this year. Despite the lower gas prices, consumers are demanding more environmentally-friendly vehicles.

Look for more electric vehicle charging stations in this New Year, too! All reports are on that this is the best year for consumers looking to buy vehicles based on price, design and the entire buying experience. What we’ve learned over our 75+ years of being in business is the importance of treating each customer well and building the relationship in both the sales process and in service (thanks to my grandparents), many dealerships are just adopting.

We look forward to more recognition of the safety, design and performance on Toyota, Scion and Volvo models. Just this past week, Consumer Reports named two of the three “most reliable small vehicles” the Scion xB and Toyota Yaris.

As you celebrate the New Year, be safe on the roads, as it is historically a dangerous night to be on the roads. Make smart choices so you can start off 2015 safe and sound.

Wishing you good health, success and blessings in 2015 from all of us at Jaffarian Volvo Toyota Scion.
